The HUUSD School Board met in person (with an option for remote participation) on Friday, March 8, 2024.
The meeting began with the Annual Board reorganization. The following positions were filled:
- Board Chair: Ashley Woods
- Board Vice-Chair: Cindy Sennning
- Finance Officer: Bobbi Rood
- Assistant Finance Officer: Danielle Dukette
- Recording Secretary: Ben Clark
- Representative to the Central Vermont Career Center Board: Mike Bishop
- Truant Officer: Respective Building Administrators
- Newspapers of Record: Valley Reporter and Times Argus until further investigation can be made regarding Waterbury Roundabout circulation.
After the elections, there was public comment: Jane Regan thanked the Board for their efforts.

Budget Presentation and Options - Lisa presented information regarding the effect of different budget amounts on tax rates, and she and Dr. Mike answered questions from Board members. Different strategies to incorporate and relevant information to include in further conversations as development of a new budget to present were discussed.

Additionally, at the beginning of each Board meeting we invite public comment. Alternatively, reach out to one of your neighbors who is on the school board and share your thoughts in a personal email or phone call (see a list of Board members and contact information at).
The Board’s next meeting was held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Community members may attend meetings in person in the Harwood library or remotely via zoom (), or watch it broadcast live on Youtube (). Agendas and other related documents are available at huusd.org.
