The HUUSD School Board met in person (with an option for remote participation) last Wednesday, February 22.
The meeting began with public comment. There was no public comment.
Board Reports:

Superintendent Report - Dr. Mike answered questions, including questions about the bus contract the board will need to approve soon.
Topics for Discussion:
- Girls’ Basketball Trip - Girls’ basketball head coach Tommy Young answered questions about their upcoming trip to Serbia and Croatia.
- School Board Recognition Month - Dr. Mike, on behalf of the entire school district, offered comments regarding the contributions of School Board Members. He presented certificates to each Board Member, as well as individual books for the school library in each town dedicated to each town’s respective Board Members.
- Presentation by Allison Conyers on the Role of the Lead Nurse - Allison explained what is required of nurses in school, related data for the district, and some of her work. Allison answered questions from Board members.
In action items, the Board:
- Passed a motion to approve a Girls’ Basketball trip to Croatia and Serbia April 18-23, 2023.
- Passed a motion to approve the Title I policy for warning.
- Passed a motion to adopt the Superintendent Evaluation Form.

The Board’s next meeting will be on Monday, March 6, 2023, which is the Board’s Annual Meeting before Town Meeting Day.
