The HUUSD School Board met in person (with an option for remote participation) last Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
The meeting began with public comment by Brian Dalla Mura regarding prone restraints.
Board Reports:
- The Board recognized Angela Selvaggio and Beth Abbot-Koch as Outstanding Educators of the Year.
- Kristen and Kelley reflected on agenda planning.
- Superintendent: Dr. Mike reported on updates about the high school newspaper, the restraint and seclusion committee, and professional development and then answered questions.
- Director of Finance: Lisa reported on corrections to the budget timeline, as well as some upcoming budget information for board members to consider.
Topics for discussion:
- The Board discussed the upcoming FY24 budget development and considerations for initial planning.
The Board took action on the following:
- A motion passed to allow student representatives a symbolic and advisory vote.
